He announced this on his social networks. The 38-year-old Spaniard posted a video in which he addressed his fans.
“The truth is that the last few years have been quite difficult for me, especially the last two. I don't think I can play without any restrictions anymore. Of course, it was quite a difficult decision that took some time. But in life, everything has a beginning and an end. And I think it's the right time to end a career that has been much longer and more successful than I could have imagined,” Nadal said.
