Vasiliy may never return to the ring.

IBF and IBO lightweight champion Vasiliy Lomachenko is considering ending his professional career.

This was reported by authoritative journalist and insider Mike Coppinger.

According to his information, the 36-year-old Ukrainian boxer was negotiating a fight with WBA lightweight title holder Gervonta Davis, but they fell through and the American champion got another opponent.

“Gervonta Davis was in talks to fight Vasyl Lomachenko, who is considering retirement, and after the prospect of a fight fell through, “Tank” will now fight Lamont Roach, where he will be a significant favorite,” Coppinger wrote on the social network X .

Earlier, the Ukrainian's manager Egis Klimas said that Vasyl took a break from his career until the end of 2024. According to him, Lomachenko lacks motivation and wants to spend more time with his family.

Vasyl's record includes 18 wins (12 by knockout) and 3 losses in the professional ring.

In Lomachenko's last fight on May 12, 2024, he defeated Australian George Kambosos by knockout and took possession of the IBF and IBO lightweight belts.
