The “blue-yellows” rose three positions at once in the world ranking.
The International Football Federation (FIFA) published an updated ranking of men's futsal teams following the 2024 World Cup, which took place in Uzbekistan. In it, the Ukrainian national team occupies 9th place.

Thanks to winning bronze medals at the 2024 World Cup, Oleksandr Kosenko's team rose three positions in the world ranking at once – from 12th to 9th place.
Brazil, which became the winner of the World Cup, remained the leader of the world ranking. Portugal retained second place. Argentina rose to third place thanks to its entry into the World Cup final.
The Ukrainian national team became a prize-winner of the Futsal World Cup for the first time in history. Before this, the best result of the “blue-yellows” was fourth place in the debut tournament for our team in 1996.
Let us recall that at the 2024 Futsal World Cup, the Ukrainians entered the playoffs from second place in Group C: our team suffered a crushing defeat to Argentina (1:7), but then destroyed Angola (7:2) and beat Afghanistan (4:1).
In the 1/8 finals, the “blue-yellows” defeated the Netherlands (3:1), in the quarterfinals they destroyed Venezuela (9:4), in the semifinals they lost to Brazil (2:3), and in the match for the “bronze” they defeated France (7:1).
