The Ukraine team defeated the Georgia team in the 3rd round of the group stage of the Nations Leagueseason 2024/25. The match at the Enea Arena stadium in the Polish city of Poznan ended with a score of 1:0.
The Blue-Yellows opened the scoring in the 35th minute of the match – Georgy Sudakov took the ball in the opponent’s half of the field, and Mikhail Mudrik moved from the left flank to the center and shot into the near corner from outside the penalty area.
Willy Sagnol's team tried to recoup, but were unable to score against Anatoly Trubin.

In a parallel match of Group 1 Division B, the Czech Republic team defeated Albania on its home field with a score of 2:0.
Let's add that the Ukrainian team had an unsuccessful start to the 2024/25 Nations League, suffering defeats from Albania (1:2) and the Czech Republic (2:3). The Georgian team, on the contrary, started the tournament with victories over the Czechs (4:1) and Albanians (1:0).
Thus, after three rounds, Georgia leads the quartet with 6 points, ahead of the Czech Republic (6) on additional indicators. Albania (3 points) is third, Ukraine (3) continues to occupy the last place.
Note that in the 4th round of the League of Nations, the Ukrainian team will play the Czech Republic on October 14 in Wroclaw, and Georgia will host Albania on the same day.
