 Football coach from Kyiv died in the war with Russian occupiers

Denis Sklyarenko gave his life for the independence of Ukraine.

Denis Sklyarenko, a coach of the Troyeshchyna football club, died in the war against the Russian occupiers.

The tragic news was reported by the Department of Youth and Sports of the city of Kyiv.

Sklyarenko is a graduate of the National University of Physical Education and Sports. After receiving a diploma as a football coach, he worked at the Troyeshchyna football club.

After the start of the full-scale invasion of Russian troops into Ukraine, he voluntarily joined the Armed Forces of Ukraine, where he served in the 112th brigade. For his services, he was awarded the Golden Cross.

Denis's life was cut short in the Kupyansk direction.

Earlier it was reported that Ukrainian handball player Roman Zayets died in the war against the Russian invaders.
