Ukraine national team midfielder Olexander Zinchenko shared his expectations for the match of the 5th round of the group stage of the 2024/25 Nations League against Georgia.
“I watched the first game on TV, I remember it was a very tough field and there was little football on both sides. The fight was at the forefront. I think if we show our best game, we can do anything.
It will be very difficult. Of course, we are all preparing for this game. We understand the level of responsibility of this match, so now there is no room for mistakes,” Zinchenko said in a commentary to VZBIRNA.
The Georgia – Ukraine match will take place on Saturday, November 16, in Batumi, Georgia, at the Batumi Arena stadium. The starting whistle will sound at 19:00 Kyiv time.

Ukraine in the 2024/25 Nations League: results and standings
The Ukrainian national team has already played four matches in the 2024/25 Nations League. Serhiy Rebrov's team lostAlbania (1:2), lost to the Czech Republic (2:3), beat Georgia (1:0) and drew against the Czech Republic (1:1).
Two rounds before the finish, the Ukrainian team with 4 points occupies the last place in Group B1. The Czech Republic is leading with 7 points. Georgia and Albania are in second and third positions, respectively, with 6 points each.

Before the final matches of the Nations League group stage against Georgia (November 16) and Albania (November 19), the Ukrainian national team retains its chances of promotion.
According to the new format of the League nations, a participant in the group tournament in Division B, where the Ukrainian national team competes, if it takes:
- first place – will rise to Division A;
- second place – will play playoffs for entry into Division A with the team that finishes third in the Division A group;
- third place – will play playoffs for retention in Division B with the team that finishes second in the Division C group;
- fourth place – will be relegated to Division C.
