Mike Tyson – Jake Paul: How the Boxing Legend's Fight Against the YouTube Star Ended

The blogger won by unanimous decision.

On the night of November 16, at the AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas (USA), a fight took place between former absolute world heavyweight champion Mike Tyson and popular blogger Jake Paul.

The fight lasted 8 rounds of two minutes each. In the end, 27-year-old Paul defeated 58-year-old “Iron Mike” by unanimous decision – 80:72, 79:73, 79:73.

The first two rounds were in favor of the boxing legend, but in the third, the YouTube star picked up the pace and landed several powerful punches on Tyson. Mike staggered, but managed to stay on his feet.

In the fourth round, Jake hit Tyson in the liver. The other half of the fight was more active for Paul, while Mike looked tired and did not move much in the ring. As a result, the judges recorded the showman's victory by unanimous decision.

It should be noted that this fight had official status – the result was included in the statistics of both fighters.

Let's add that initially Tyson and Paul were supposed to meet in the ring on July 20, but due to the deterioration of “Iron Mike's” health, the fight was postponed.

For Tyson, this was the first official fight since 2005, when he lost by technical knockout to Irishman Kevin McBride. Now “Iron Mike” has 59 fights on his record: 50 wins (44 by knockout) and 7 losses. Two more fights were declared no contest.

Paul has 11 wins (7 by knockout) and one loss.

Recall that Mike Tyson slapped Jake Paul during the final battle of eyes.
