After the fiasco with Kazakhstan, Dmytro Mykhailenko's team lost to Slovenia.

The Ukrainian U-19 football team lost to their peers from Slovenia in the second match of the mini-tournament of the qualifying round for Euro 2025. The match in Veendam, the Netherlands, ended in a defeat for the “blue-yellows” with a score of 0:1.

Dmytro Mykhailenko's team conceded the only goal at the beginning of the second half. In the 49th minute, David Peicic scored for the Slovenian team.

For the “blue-yellows” this is the second defeat in a row in the qualification for the 2025 European Under-21 Championship. In the opening match of the qualifiers, Mykhailenko's team was weaker than Kazakhstan (1:2).

The Ukrainians will play their last match in the qualifiers for the continental championship on November 19 against the Netherlands.

The top two teams from each group of the qualifying round and the best third of 13 quartets will advance to the elite round of the Euro 2025 qualifiers.

Recall that the Ukrainian U-19 team is the current semi-finalist of the continental championship. At Euro 2024, Mykhailenko's team stopped one step away from the final, suffering a minimal defeat to the French.
