Mike Tyson Sets Unique Boxing Record in Loss to Jake Paul

“Iron Mike” has become the longest-serving boxing champion.

Former undisputed heavyweight champion Mike Tyson set a historic record in a fight with popular blogger Jake Paul, in which he was defeated by unanimous decision.

The legendary American returned to the ring at the age of 58. This happened almost 40 years after his debut in professional boxing, which took place on March 6, 1985.

Thus, “Iron Mike” became the owner of the longest career among all boxing champions. From his first fight to his last, 14,499 days passed.

This is an absolute record. Tyson surpassed the former world champion in five weight categories Roy Jones Jr., whose career lasted 12,231 days.
