Serhiy Rebrov's team will find out its opponent in the playoffs on November 22 during the draw.

The Ukraine national team beat the Albania team in the match of the last 6th round of the group stage of the League of Nations season 2024/25. The match at the Air Albania stadium in Tirana ended with a score of 1:2.

The “blue-yellows” opened the scoring in the 5th minute of the match. Oleksandr Zinchenko in the center of the Albanian penalty area accurately shot into the lower left corner after Roman Yaremchuk's shot was blocked.

The Ukrainians celebrated the goal very symbolically, unfurling a T-shirt with the number “1000”, since today, November 19, is the 1000th day of the full-scale invasion of Russian occupiers into Ukraine.

In the 10th minute, Serhiy Rebrov's charges doubled their lead. Georgiy Sudakov from the left flank passed to the right corner of the goal area to Yefim Konoplya, who passed it to Yaremchuk, who headed the ball into the goal.

In the 75th minute, the Albanians reduced the deficit. Nedim Bajrami sent the ball and Anatoliy Trubin to different corners from the penalty spot after the Ukrainian goalkeeper brought down Mirto Uzuni in his own penalty area.

At the end of the match, Albania put serious pressure on the “blue-yellows” goal, but the Ukrainian team managed to hold on to the victory and could even score a third goal, but the home team's goalkeeper Thomas Strakosha parried shots from Sudakov and Alexander Nazarenko.
