The Ukrainian team took seventh place in the race.

On Sunday, December 1, the men's relay took place at the first stage of the Biathlon World Cup 2024/25 season in Kontiolahti, Finland.

The Ukrainian team was represented in the race by Bogdan Tsymbal, Dmytro Pidruchnyi, Anton Dudchenko and Vitalii Mandzyn. The “blue-yellows” finished in seventh position.

In the first stage, Tsymbal used one extra round in the prone shooting and left the shooting range in 17th position. In the standing position, Bogdan missed two shots, but pulled our team up to 10th place, which he retained until the baton transfer.

In the second stage, Pidruchnyi shot cleanly in the prone position and rose to 8th place. The captain of the Ukrainian team worked on the standing shooting with one inaccurate shot, reaching 7th position. Dmitry passed the baton in 8th place, only 9 seconds behind fourth place.

In the third stage, Dudchenko shot flawlessly in the prone position, thanks to which the Ukrainian team broke into 5th place. After one miss by Anton in the standing position, the “blue-yellows” dropped to 7th place, but at the last relay exchange they were already 6th.
