Titled Ukrainian gymnast and 2012 Olympic medalist announces retirement

Igor Radivilov announced that he has decided to end his career.

Famous Ukrainian gymnast Igor Radivilov has announced the end of his sports career.

The 32-year-old athlete announced this after a meeting of the German Gymnastics Bundesliga

After the meeting, a farewell ceremony was held for the gymnast, during which Radivilov addressed fans.

“Good evening to all gymnastics fans. It is extremely pleasant to follow the support of our team every day.

I would like to tell you a short story from my career. The first victory in my professional career took place in Cottbus at the World Cup in 2011. Over all these long years, I have gone through many competitions, given 100%, and maintained a high level.

A long time ago I said that my path would end here, where it all began – in the city of Cottbus. In fact, it is difficult to talk about this, to say goodbye to my team, my family. Over the years, Cottbus has become like home to me.

I would like to thank my friends who have been there all these years, my family, teams, management, people who have always supported us. It has been a pleasure to work with you all these years. Thank you and I wish you all the best, good luck,” said Radivilov.

Radivilov is a bronze medalist at the 2012 London Olympics in vault, a five-time European champion in artistic gymnastics and a four-time medalist at world championships.
