“Will Finally Stop Him”: Famous Promoter Makes Prediction for Usyk-Fury Rematch

"Will finally stop him": Famous promoter makes prediction for Usyk – Fury rematch

Frank Warren is convinced that the "Gypsy King" will be able to defeat the Ukrainian.

Frank Warren, promoter of former world heavyweight champion Tyson Fury, commented on the upcoming rematch of his client with the holder of the WBA, WBO, WBC and IBO titles Oleksandr Usyk.

According to him, this will be a fight between the best boxers of the 21st century, in which the “Gypsy King” will win.

Warren also promised that the British boxer's team would not create conflicts before the fight.

It should be noted that before the first fight between Usyk and Fury, Tyson's father had a scuffle with representatives of the Ukrainian boxer. He hit the head of one of the members of Alexander's team, breaking it until it bled.

“No more conflicts. There will be no bloodshed. There is no need for these provocations and squabbles before such an event. We are waiting for a meeting of the best boxers of the 21st century. Everyone who has even remotely heard of boxing will watch the rematch on December 21. I am sure that Fury will finally stop Usyk,” Warren said in a commentary to Dazn.

The Usyk-Fury rematch will take place on December 21 in Riyadh (Saudi Arabia). All titles held by the Ukrainian boxer will be at stake.

Unlike the first fight, this time the title of absolute world champion will not be at stake, since Alexander previously refused from the IBF title. Now it is owned by Briton Daniel Dubois, who has already managed to defend it by knocking out his compatriot Anthony Joshua.

Recall that on the night of May 19, 2024, Usyk won by split decision over Fury in a fight for the title of absolute world heavyweight champion. At the end of the ninth round, Alexander knocked his opponent down.

Thus, Alexander defended the WBO, WBA, IBO and IBF belts, and also took the WBC title from the “Gypsy King”. Usyk became the first absolute world champion in the heavyweight division in the 21st century.

Before that, the last “absolute” heavyweight champion was Lennox Lewis, who won this status in 1999, when he defeated Evander Holyfield. At that time, the WBA, WBC and IBF titles were at stake. The WBO belt was recognized as equal in 2007, so Usyk became the first “absolute” heavyweight champion in history with four main titles.
