No longer Messi's teammate: Shakhtar legend leaves Inter Miami

The MLS club bid farewell to Sergei Krivtsov.

Former Shakhtar Donetsk and Ukrainian national team defender Sergey Krivtsov has left Inter Miami.

The American club announced this on its official website.

The 33-year-old Ukrainian footballer's contract with The MLS team was calculated until the end of 2024. The parties decided not to sign a new agreement.

Krivtsov moved to David Beckham's club at the beginning of 2023 after 13 years of playing for Shakhtar. As part of Inter Miami, the Ukrainian played 63 matches, in which he scored two goals and made one assist.

Together with the Miami team, for which world football stars Lionel Messi, Luis Suarez, Sergio Busquets and Jordi Alba also play, the Ukrainian became the winner of the 2024 MLS regular season with a historical record for the number of points scored.

However, Beckham's club failed to win the MLS championship title. Inter Miami flew out of the fight for the trophy in the first round of the playoffs.
