 Ukraine national futsal team starts Euro 2026 qualifiers with crushing victory

The Blue-Yellows confidently dealt with Cyprus.

The Ukrainian national futsal team crushed the Cyprus team in the opening match of the 2026 European Championship qualifiers. The match ended with a score of 0:7 in favor of the “blue-yellows”.

Igor Korsun, Nikolai Mykytyuk and Artem Farenyuk scored doubles for our team. Daniil Abakshin scored another goal.

After this victory, the Ukrainians topped their group in the Euro 2026 qualifiers. In another match of the first round of this quartet, Romania beat Germany with a score of 6:0.

The next match in the qualification for the continental championship will be played by Oleksandr Kosenko's team on Tuesday, December 17, against Romania.

The winners of the groups will directly qualify for the final part of Euro 2026, and the eight best teams that took second place will play for four more tickets to the continental championship in the playoffs.

The 2026 European Futsal Championship will be held from January 18 to February 8, 2026 in Lithuania and Latvia. The hosts of the final tournament automatically received the right to participate in it.

Recall that the Ukrainian team is the current bronze medalist of the World Futsal Championship.
