 Biathlon: Results of the men's relay at the World Cup stage in Hochfilzen

The Ukrainians finished outside the top 10 in the relay.

On Sunday, December 15, the second stage of the 2024/25 Biathlon World Cup in Hochfilzen, Austria, ended with the men's relay.

The Ukrainian team was represented by Artem Tyshchenko, Vitaliy Mandzyn, Anton Dudchenko and Dmitry Pidruchny. Our team finished in 12th position.

In the first stage, Tishchenko shot flawlessly in the prone position and left the shooting range in 12th place. In the standing position, Artem used one extra round and remained in 12th place. But due to the slow pace, he passed the baton only to 18th.

In the second stage, Mandzyn shot cleanly in the prone position and raised the Ukrainian team to 17th place. He came to the standing shooting in 12th place, but did not cope with it and, having earned two penalty laps, dropped to 18th place. Vitaliy also passed the baton to 18th place.

In the third stage, Dudchenko did not miss in the prone position and left the shooting range in 17th place. In the standing position, Anton used two additional rounds and remained in 17th place, and passed the baton to 16th.

In the final fourth stage, Pidruchnyi missed twice in the prone shooting and left the shooting range in 16th place. In the standing position, with perfect shooting, he raised the Ukrainian team to 13th place. Dmitry finished 12th.

France won the men's relay, Norway came in second, and Sweden rounded out the top three.

We note that earlier today at the Biathlon World Cup in Hochfilzen, a women's relay took place, in which the Ukrainian team took seventh place.

The next, third stage of the Biathlon World Cup season will be held from December 19 to 22 in Annecy – Le Grand-Bornand (France).
