 Biathlon: Results of the women's relay at the World Cup stage in Hochfilzen

The Ukrainian team finished in seventh place in the relay.

On Sunday, December 15, at the second stage of the 2024/25 Biathlon World Cup in Hochfilzen, Austria, the women's relay took place.

Ukraine was represented by Kristina Dmitrenko, Yulia Dzhima, Anna Krivonos and Elena Gorodnaya. Our team finished in seventh place.

In the first stage, Dmitrenko shot quickly and accurately from the prone position, leaving the firing line in fifth position. Kristina also performed flawlessly in the standing position, raising the Ukrainian team to fourth place. She passed the baton in sixth place.

In the second stage, Dzhima shot cleanly from the prone position, thanks to which she brought our team to second place. In the standing position, Yulia used two additional rounds and dropped to the sixth step, where she passed the baton.

In the third stage, Krivonos shot flawlessly in the prone position, leaving the shooting range in seventh place. In the standing position, she had to use one extra round, moving up to sixth place. She passed the baton in ninth place.

In the final fourth stage, Gorodnaya missed once in the prone position and pulled the Ukrainian team up to sixth place. After one inaccurate shot in the standing position, Elena dropped to seventh place, where she finished.

The German team won the women's relay. France took second place, and Sweden rounded out the top three.

Note that the Biathlon World Cup stage in Hochfilzen will close today with a men's relay, in which the Ukrainian team will be represented by Artem Tyshchenko, Vitaliy Mandzyn, Anton Dudchenko and Dmytro Pidruchnyi. The race starts at 15:15 Kyiv time.
