It was Mexican “Pachuca”, which defeated Egyptian “Al-Ahly” in the semi-finals of the tournament.
The teams did not score goals in regular and extra time, so the winner of the ticket to the final was determined in a series of post-match penalties, where the “Pachuca” players were more accurate – 6:5.
The final of the Intercontinental Cup between “Real” and “Pachuca” will take place on Wednesday, December 18, at the “Lusail” Stadium in Doha (Qatar). The game will start at 19:00 Kyiv time.
Recall that FIFA has resumed the Intercontinental Cup, which was previously held intermittently in 1960-2004.
In turn, the Club World Cup has been reformed. In the summer of 2025, it will be held in a new expanded format with the participation of 32 teams from six football confederations.
