On Friday, December 20, the draw for the playoff matches of the Conference League was held in Nyon, Switzerland, which will determine the last eight participants in the 1/8 finals.
In the main round of the updated format of the third-ranked European tournament, 36 clubs played in a single league, where they played against six different opponents (three matches at home and three away).
The eight best teams of the main stage of the Conference League directly entered the 1/8 finals. These are Chelsea (England), Vitoria Guimaraes (Portugal), Fiorentina (Italy), Rapid (Austria), Djurgården (Sweden), Lugano (Switzerland), Legia (Poland) and Cercle Brugge (Belgium).
The clubs that take 9th to 24th place in the overall standings will play paired play-off matches to reach the 1/8 finals. The rest completed their performances in European competitions.

The 1/16 finals of the Conference League will be held on February 13 and 20, 2025. The winners of the two-legged matches will advance to the 1/8 finals.
Starting from the 1/8 finals, the Conference League playoffs will be held according to the same format as before – in the format of two-legged matches. The final of the tournament will consist of one match.
The 2024/25 Conference League Final will be held on May 28, 2025 at the Wroclaw Stadium in Poland.
