Andrey managed to defend his WBC International heavyweight belt.

Ukrainian WBC International heavyweight champion Andrey Novitsky won the undercard of rematch between the WBA, WBO, WBC and IBO heavyweight title holder Oleksandr Usyk and former champion Tyson Fury.

Novitsky's opponent was Mexican Edgar Ramirez. The Ukrainian won by unanimous decision: twice in 102:90, 98:92.

Thus, Andrey managed to defend the WBC International heavyweight belt. This is his 14th victory in the professional ring, he won 10 of his fights ahead of schedule.

For Ramirez, this is the second defeat in his career in the professional ring. The Mexican also has 10 wins (4 by knockout) and one draw.

Two more Ukrainians, Serhiy Bogachuk and Daniel Lapin, will fight on the undercard of the Usyk vs. Fury rematch.

Bogachuk will face Briton Ishmael Davis in a rating fight in the first middleweight division. The latter replaced former WBA world champion Israil Madrimov of Uzbekistan, who withdrew two weeks before the fight.

Lapin will face Frenchman Dylan Colin in a fight for the IBF Intercontinental and WBA Continental light heavyweight belts.

Recall that Usyk and Fury will fight for all the titles currently held by the Ukrainian boxer in the rematch. Unlike the first fight, this time the title of absolute world champion will not be at stake, since Alexander previously gave up the IBF belt. The new owner of this title is the Briton Daniel Dubois, who has already managed to defend it by knocking out his compatriot Anthony Joshua.
