Two Ukrainians made it into the top 20 in the mass start.
On Sunday, December 22, the third stage of the 2024/25 Biathlon World Cup in Annecy-Le Grand-Bornand, France, continued with the men's mass start.
Ukraine was represented by two biathletes – Vitalii Mandzyn and Dmitry Pidruchny. Another of our compatriots, Anton Dudchenko, who was also able to qualify for the mass start, missed the race due to a cold.
The best result among Ukrainians in the mass start was shown by Pidruchnyi, who finished 12th. Mandzin took 19th place.
Norwegian Tarjei Bjo won the pursuit race. German Daniil Rithmuller came in second, and Norwegian Johannes Bjo rounded out the top three.

The stage in Annecy will end today with the women's mass start, which will begin at 15:45 Kyiv time. This will be the last Biathlon World Cup race in 2024.
After the Christmas and New Year break, the fourth stage of the current season will be held in Oberhof, Germany, from January 9 to 12, 2025.
