Klitschko Jr. also noted the importance of Alexander's triumph for the Ukrainian people.
Former world heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko commented on the victory of the WBA, WBO, WBC and IBO heavyweight title holder Alexander Usikain a rematch with Tyson Fury.

“We were lucky to have such an amazing champion. A legend. Simply an outstanding boxer. He made history, and this victory is extremely important for us, Ukrainians.
He put Ukraine on the world map again. He did it many times. I don't know another person who is as outstanding as Usyk in boxing. You are a real legend,” the BBC quotes Klitschko as saying.
Let's add that Vladimir personally arrived in Riyadh to support Usyk in the rematch with Fury. On the eve of the fight, the outstanding Ukrainian boxers met and took a joint photo. After the fight, Klitschko Jr. climbed into the ring and congratulated Alexander on his victory.
Interestingly, in November 2015, Vladimir Klitschko lost to Fury by unanimous decision and lost his IBF, IBO, WBO and WBA championship belts. The boxers were supposed to meet in a rematch, but the second fight never took place – first the Briton was injured and then caught doping.
On the night of December 22, Usyk defeated Fury by unanimous decision (three times 116-112) and defended his WBA, WBO, WBC and IBO heavyweight titles.
However, Fury did not admit defeat from Usyk, disagreeing with the judges' verdict. The Ukrainian boxer responded categorically to these words of the “Gypsy King”.

Unlike the first fight, in the Usyk – Fury rematch the title of absolute world champion was not at stake, since Alexander had previously refused the IBF title. Now it is owned by the Briton Daniel Dubois, who has already managed to defend it by knocking out his compatriot Anthony Joshua.
Recall that on the night of May 19, 2024, Usyk defeated Fury by split decision in a fight for the title of absolute world heavyweight champion. At the end of the ninth round, Alexander knocked his opponent down. The Ukrainian became the first absolute world heavyweight champion in the 21st century.
