Usyk vs. Fury: Rematch judges' scorecards released

After an equal first half of the fight, the Ukrainian was clearly better in the second.

The judges' scorecards have been released for the rematch between Oleksandr Usyk and Tyson Fury, in which the Ukrainian defeated the Briton and defended his WBA, WBO, WBC and IBO heavyweight.

Based on the results of 12 rounds, all three judges unanimously gave the victory to the Ukrainian boxer: 116-112, 116-112, 116-112.

A photo of the judges' notes appeared on the Internet, where you can see in detail which rounds Usyk won, and in which Fury was better.

As can be seen from the judges' scores, after the first half of the fight, the Ukrainian and the Briton were on par. Two judges had the score 57-57 after six rounds, and the third had the result 56-58 in favor of the “Gypsy King”.

However, the second half of the fight was dominated by the Ukrainian. Two judges gave Usyk five of the last six rounds, and one even saw Alexander winning every round from the 7th to the 12th inclusive.

It was previously reported that Fury did not admit defeat to Usyk in the rematch. The Ukrainian also told to whom he dedicates his victory over the Briton

Unlike the first fight, the Usyk vs. Fury rematch did not have the title of absolute world champion at stake, since Alexander had previously renounced the IBF title. Now it is owned by Briton Daniel Dubois, who has already managed to defend it by knocking out his compatriot Anthony Joshua.

Recall that on the night of May 19, 2024, Usyk defeated Fury by split decision in a fight for the title of absolute world heavyweight champion. At the end of the ninth round, Alexander knocked his opponent down. The Ukrainian became the first absolute heavyweight world champion in the 21st century.
