The captain of the Ukrainian team took sixth place in the pursuit.
On Saturday, January 11, at the fourth stage of the 2024/25 Biathlon World Cup in Oberhof, Germany, the men's pursuit race took place.
Ukraine was represented by three biathletes: Dmytro Pidruchnyi (4th starting position following the sprint), Vitalii Mandzyn (17th) and Taras Lesyuk (34th).
The best result among Ukrainians in the pursuit was shown by Pidruchnyi, who finished in sixth position with three penalty laps.
The other two Ukrainians also entered the scoring zone: Mandzyn took 20th place, and Lesyuk – 37th.
The entire podium was taken by the Norwegians. Sturla Laegreid won the pursuit race, Tarjei Bjo came in second, and Johannes Bjo rounded out the top three.

Earlier today, the women's pursuit race took place in Oberhof, where only one Ukrainian finished – Kristina Dmytrenko, who closed the top 30.
The stage in Oberhof will end on Sunday, January 12, with the classic and single mixed relays. They will start at 13:20 and 15:30 Kyiv time, respectively.
