Ukrainian forward of the “wolves” has already scored his seventh goal in the current Italian championship.
Roma won at home against Genoa in the opening match of the 21st round of the Italian Serie A 2024/25 season. The match at the Stadio Olimpico in Rome ended with a score of 3:1.
The hosts opened the scoring in the 25th minute of the match – Ukrainian forward Artem Dovbyk successfully played the rebound after the “griffins” goalkeeper Nicola Leali parried a shot by Lorenzo Pellegrini.
For the 27-year-old Ukrainian striker, this is already the seventh goal in the current Italian championship. He also has two assists.
The Genoese restored parity in the 33rd minute – Patrizio Masini scored. So the teams went into the break with an equal score.
In the second half, Claudio Ranieri's men managed to tip the scales in their favor. In the 60th minute, Stephan El Shaarawy put the Wolves ahead, and then in the 73rd minute, the aforementioned goalkeeper of the guests, Leali, scored an own goal.
