The Norwegian striker received one of the most expensive contracts in the history of sports.
Star Norwegian forward Erling Haaland has extended his contract with Manchester City.
According to the official website of the “citizens”, the new agreement of the 24-year-old footballer with the club is calculated until the summer of 2034.
The financial details of the contract have not been disclosed, but The Athletic claims that the Norwegian has received a pay rise. The deal he signed is one of the most expensive in the history of the sport.
It is also the fifth longest contract in the history of world football. Only four players have ever signed longer term deals.
Haaland joined Manchester City in the summer of 2022 from Borussia Dortmund for €60 million.
Erling has since made 126 appearances for the Manchester club in all competitions, scoring 111 goals and providing 15 assists.
The Norwegian has won two Premier League titles, the FA Cup and Community Shield, the Champions League, the UEFA Super Cup and the FIFA Club World Cup with the City club.
Haaland has made 28 appearances for Manchester City in all competitions this season, scoring 21 goals and providing one assist.
