 Biathlon: Results of the men's relay at the World Cup stage in Antholz

The Ukrainian team finished the race in eighth place.

On Saturday, January 25, the sixth stage of the 2024/25 Biathlon World Cup in Antholz, Italy, continued with the men's relay.

Dmytro Pidruchnyi, Vitalii Mandzyn, Anton Dudchenko and Taras Lesyuk ran for the Ukrainian national team. The “blue-yellows” finished in eighth place.

At the first stage, Pidruchnyi shot cleanly in the prone position and left the shooting range in second place. Immediately after that, the captain of the Ukrainian team even took the lead in the race. Dmitry also worked flawlessly in the standing position, leaving the shooting range in second place, where he passed the baton, losing to the leader of the overall World Cup, Norwegian Sturla Legreid, by only 3.5 seconds.

At the second stage, Mandzyn worked perfectly in the prone shooting, leaving it in second place. In the standing shooting, Vitaliy missed three times, barely avoiding a penalty loop, and dropped to fourth place. He also passed the baton in fourth place.

In the third stage, Dudchenko, thanks to his flawless prone shooting, rose to third place. In the standing position, Anton missed four times and went to one penalty loop, therefore dropping to ninth place, where he passed the baton.

In the fourth stage, Lesyuk shot cleanly in the prone position, remaining in ninth place. In the final shooting, Taras used three additional rounds and rose to eighth place, where he finished.

The French team won the men's relay. Norway took second place, and Sweden rounded out the top three.

Let's add that today in Antholz there was also a women's pursuit race, where the best result among the Ukrainians was shown by Yuliya Dzhyma, who finished 18th.

The Biathlon World Cup stage in Antholz will end on Sunday, January 26. On this day, women will run the relay race, and men will run the pursuit race.
