The Ukrainian biathlon team has determined the composition for the 2025 European Championships, which will be held from January 29 to February 2 in Martel Val Martello, Italy.
As Suspilne Sport reports, our team will compete at the continental championship without its leaders – Yulia Dzyma and Dmytro Pidruchnyi, who will be preparing for the World Championship.
The “blue-yellows” at the European Championship included 15 biathletes, of which six – representatives of the main team at the World Cup – will take part only in relays.
The composition of the Ukrainian team for the 2025 European Biathlon Championship
Women: Anastasia Merkushina, Oleksandra Merkushina, Darina Chalyk, Liliya Steblina.
Irina Petrenko, Kristina Dmitrenko and Elena Gorodnaya will compete in the relay.
Men: Bohdan Tsymbal, Ruslan Tkalenko, Artem Tishchenko, Denis Nasyko.
Anton Dudchenko, Vitaly Mandzyn and Taras Lesyuk will compete in the relay.
The European Championships will precede the main start of the biathlon season – the World Championships, which will be held from 12 to 23 February in Lenzerheide, Switzerland.
The next, seventh stage of the 2024/25 Biathlon World Cup is scheduled for 6-9 March in Nove Mesto, Czech Republic.
