Oleksandra Merkushyna showed the best result among Ukrainians.
On Saturday, February 1, the 2025 European Biathlon Championships in Martel Val Martello, Italy, continued with the women's pursuit race.
Ukraine was represented by four biathletes: Alexandra Merkushina (12th starting position following the sprint), Anastasia Merkushina (21st), Liliya Steblina (32nd) and Daryna Chalyk (55th).
The best result among the Ukrainians was shown by Alexandra Merkushina, who finished 18th with two misses.
The European Champion in Biathlon in the pursuit was Latvian Baiba Bendika. The silver was won by Sweden's Anna-Karin Heidenberg, and the bronze was won by Italy's Linda Cingerle.

Let us add that today at the 2025 European Biathlon Championships the men's pursuit race will take place, starting at 14:45 Kyiv time. Ukraine will be represented by Artem Tyshchenko (starting 20th), Bohdan Tsymbal (34th), Ruslan Tkalenko (42nd) and Denys Nasyko (59th).
The European Biathlon Championships will end on Sunday, February 2, with classic relays.
