Ukrainian center Oleksiy Len has become a player of the Los Angeles Lakers.

The term of the agreement has not been disclosed. At the same time, according to several sources, the Lakers had to waive big man Christian Wood to sign the Ukrainian. Also, the catalyst for the transfer was Mark Williams' failed medical.

Since 2021, the Ukrainian center has defended the colors of Sacramento. This season, Oleksiy took part in 36 matches, averaging 1.4 points, 1.8 rebounds and 0.8 assists.

During the trade deadline, the Ukrainian moved to Washington (Len played for the Wizards in the 2020/21 season). However, Washington did not plan to keep the 31-year-old center.

The Lakers are in 4th place in the Western Conference standings. Let us remind you that Len is in his 12th season in the NBA, and his teammates now include Luka Doncic and LeBron James.

Alexey will become the third Ukrainian in the history of the Lakers. From 2000 to 2006, Stanislav Medvedenko played for Los Angeles, who won two championship titles with the Lakers, and in 2018, Svyatoslav Mykhailiuk defended the team's colors.
