Former champion and now coach Vyacheslav Senchenko spoke about the future of the unified world champion Alexander Usik.
“I don't think we'll see him in the ring anytime soon. After such high-profile fights as with Fury, he'll definitely take a break, as for me, until autumn. There's always someone to box with: there's Parker, there's Bakole, the same Dubois has picked up steam after losing to Usyk. Now, perhaps, someone new will appear in this weight class. The question is different: how much does Alexander need it?
You know, as they say, the most important thing in boxing is to quit on time. Not all fighters manage to do this. Alexander has already achieved everything one could dream of – he is an Olympic champion, an absolute champion in two categories. To end his career undefeated with all these achievements is better than losing to one of the boxers,” Senchenko said.
Earlier, new details of the Usyk-Dubois rematch emerged. The fight is planned for the legendary arena.
