"Хочет биться за титул": промоутер назвал трех потенциальных соперников для Владимира Кличко

The legendary Ukrainian boxer may return to the ring.

Tom Loeffler , the former promoter of ex-world heavyweight champion Vladimir Klitschko , shared his thoughts on his possible return to professional boxing.

He believes that the 48-year-old Ukrainian will return to the ring. According to him, potential opponents for Klitschko Jr. could be Anthony Joshua, Tyson Fury or Daniel Dubois.

“Vladimir is a historical figure. I don't want to speculate, but I understand that he really wants to fight for the title. If anyone can come back at this age, it's Vladimir. He is in amazing shape, just like when he had a historic streak of 25 title defenses.

He has a lot of great options now. A rematch against Joshua and Fury, a fight against Dubois. But it's up to Wladimir. I'll let him speak for himself and not put any words in his mouth. I'd like him to come back as a boxing fan and a fan of Wladimir.

“I have a lot of respect for Wladimir and his brother Vitali, what they've accomplished in the ring and what they're facing in Ukraine right now. They're like brothers to me. Hopefully we'll see a resolution to this unnecessary war and invasion of their country soon,” Loeffler told The Ring.

It should be noted that Vladimir Klitschko has previously repeatedly expressed a desire to return to the ring to break the record of American George Foreman, who remains the oldest world heavyweight champion in boxing history.

Foreman won the WBA and IBF heavyweight titles at the age of 45 years and 9 months. So if Wladimir Klitschko can win at least one of the belts again, he will become the oldest heavyweight champion in boxing history.

Klitschko Jr. retired in 2017 after a knockout loss to Anthony Joshua. Before that, he lost a unanimous decision to Tyson Fury in 2015, losing his IBF, IBO, WBO and WBA titles.

In the professional ring, Vladimir had 69 fights, won 64 (54 by knockout) and suffered 5 losses. He held the championship belts of the WBO (2000-2003, 2008-2015), IBF (2006-2015), IBO (2006-2015) and WBA (2011-2015) in the heavyweight division.

Let us recall that at the end of last year Vladimir Klitschko answered whether he would return to the ring.
