Barcelona begin talks to extend Szczesny's contract

  • Barcelona wants to extend the contract with the team's Polish goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny. This is reported by Nicolo Schira.

The Catalans have already begun talks to extend the agreement. The current contract expires at the end of this season.

The Pole joined the Blaugrana on October 2 last year. He resumed his career after already hanging up his boots and gloves. Barca brought him in due to the injury of Marc-Andre ter Stegen, who will not return until the summer.

This season he played 14 matches in all tournaments. Szczesny conceded 13 goals and kept a clean sheet in eight matches.

It should be noted that he will turn 35 on April 18.
