On Sunday, March 16, the last competition day of the eighth stage of the 2024/25 Biathlon World Cup in Pokljuka, Slovenia, the single mixed relay took place.
The Ukrainian team was represented in the race by the duo of Kristina Dmitrenko and Dmytro Pidruchnyi . The “blue-yellows” finished in 11th place.
Switzerland won the mixed singles, Sweden came in second, and Finland rounded out the top three.

Today the stage in Pokljuka will close with a classic mixed relay, where Oleksandra Merkushina, Elena Gorodnaya, Anton Dudchenko and Vitaliy Mandzyn will run for the Ukrainian team. The race starts at 15:50 Kyiv time.
The current biathlon season will end with the final stage of the World Cup in Holmenkollen, Norway, which is scheduled for March 21-23.
It should be noted that this season of the Biathlon World Cup the Ukrainian team already has one medal – our team won the bronze in the men's relay at the stage in Nove Mesto, Czech Republic.
For Ukraine, this is the first medal at the Biathlon World Cup level in three seasons. Before this, the last time the “blue-yellows” won the award was at the stage in Oberhof in the 2021/22 season, when Daria Blashko and Artem Tyshchenko won the bronze in the single mixed relay.
