However, the Catalans managed to make an incredible comeback. Goals from Robert Lewandowski and Ferran Torres in the 72nd and 78th minutes respectively restored parity in the match.
And in stoppage time, Hansi Flick's men snatched victory – in the 90+2nd minute, Lamin Yamal scored, and in the 90+8th minute, Ferran Torres put the finishing touches on this match, scoring twice.
Atletico Madrid vs Barcelona Match Review
The win saw Barcelona (60 points) return to first place in La Liga. The Blue Garnets are tied with Real Madrid on points but have played one game fewer. Atletico (56 points) remained in third place.
In the next round of Primera, the “blaugranas” will host “Girona” of Ukrainian midfielder Viktor Tsygankov on March 30, and the “mattress makers” will play away against “Espanyol” the day before.
