Zak Brown believes Max Verstappen is in his final season at Red Bull Racing. According to the McLaren boss, the four-time world champion will continue his career at Mercedes in 2026.
Zak Brown: “I think Max will leave the team at the end of the year. It is very likely that he will go to Mercedes.
There was talk of Aston Martin after Adrian Newey joined them. But no matter how good Adrian is, and he is the greatest of them all, it takes more than just one man to succeed – you need a team around you.
If I were a betting man, I would bet on Mercedes. They have won the title seven or eight times in the last ten years, and last year they won five times. They are a consistent team, and we know that Toto Wolff likes Max. In addition, we all believe that Mercedes High Performance Powertrains will be best prepared for the transition to new engines next year.”
