Augsburg suffered a home defeat to Bayern (1:3) in the 28th round of the Bundesliga .
The hosts opened the scoring in the 30th minute of the match through the efforts of Greek defender Dimitrios Giannoulis. However, before the break, Bayern restored the status quo – Jamal Musiala scored.
In the 59th minute, Augsburg were left with one man down – centre-back Cedric Zesiger picked up a second yellow card. Immediately after that, Bayern took the lead – Michael Oliseh crossed from the right flank, and Harry Kane headed it home. Leroy Sane put the finishing touches on the match in the 90+3 minute.
Despite the victory, there were some negative moments for Bayern. At the start of the second half, Jamal Musiala was injured and left the field only accompanied by club doctors.
Bayern now have 68 points, nine points ahead of second-placed Bayer, but Leverkusen will play their 28th round match tomorrow against Heidenheim.
On Tuesday, April 8, Bayern will play the first quarterfinal match of the Champions League against Inter. As for the next round of the Bundesliga, the Munich team will host Borussia D at home, while Augsburg will face Bochum away. Both of these games are scheduled for April 12.
