British heavyweight Dereck Chisora (36-13, 23 KOs) commented on the International Boxing Federation (IBF) decision on a mandatory fight against IBF heavyweight champion, compatriot Daniel Dubois (22-2, 21 KOs).

“I'm ready for war, Daniel Dubois. Let's have a blockbuster at Tottenham Stadium.”

Recall that according to the recent IBF decision, the Dubois-Chisora fight will be approved for April 22, and the deadline for holding it is June 21. At the same time, the unification fight of Dubois against the holder of the WBO/WBC/WBA/IBO heavyweight titles, Ukrainian Oleksandr Usyk (23-0, 14 KOs) will have priority over the mandatory.

On the night of February 8-9, 41-year-old Chisora defeated Otto Wallin by unanimous decision: 114-112, 116-110, 117-109. The Swede was knocked down twice during the fight. This fight was positioned as a qualifier for the second place in the IBF rating.

After that fight, Derek addressed the crowd to determine his next opponent: the biggest excitement among the spectators was caused by the persons of Usyk and Anthony Joshua.

On February 22, 38-year-old Usyk attended a boxing event in Riyadh, where he personally watched the victory of interim WBO champion Joseph Parker over Martin Bakole. After the fight, the Ukrainian confirmed his desire to have his next fight against IBF heavyweight champion Daniel Dubois and become the absolute champion again. This fight could tentatively take place in July-August 2025.

At the same time, the WBO has officially determined that the Ukrainian will defend his championship belt. The Ukrainian's opponent should be Parker (36-3, 24 KOs). Refusal of the fight may result in Alexander losing the WBO championship belt, but Usyk has options to avoid this. One of them is an official request to the WBO to postpone the fight.
