Roma's Ukrainian striker Artem Dovbyk has been shortlisted for the title of best player of March in the Italian Serie A.
He is also nominated for the award: Inter midfielder Nicolo Barella , his colleagues Nicolo Fagioli (Fiorentina) and Lucas Da Cunha (Como), Bologna winger Riccardo Orsolini and Udinese defender Oumar Sole .
After a bit of a stagnation in February, Dovbyk had a strong month in Serie A. In four matches, he scored three goals, all of them winning (against Como, Cagliari and Lecce). In total, Artem has 16 goals scored and four assists (in the championship – 11+3) in 39 matches of the season.
Roma have been on a strong run, winning seven league games in a row to move up from mid-table to sixth place. The Giallorossi are ahead of Lazio on additional indicators and are four points clear of the Champions League spot.
On April 6, Claudio Ranieri's team will play against their direct competitor, Juventus, which is in fifth place.
