Chelsea had no problem beating Legia Warsaw in the first leg of the 2024/25 Conference League quarter-final, beating them 3-0.
The Blues spent the first half warming up, but immediately after the break they started scoring. Kacper Tobias blocked a long-range shot from Reece James in front of him, and 19-year-old Tyreke George, who was in time to finish, scored his debut goal for the Chelsea first team.
A few minutes later, the visitors intercepted the ball near the opponent's penalty area, and Noni Madueke, having laid down a defender, scored after a pass from Jadon Sancho.
A penalty was soon awarded for a foul on Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall. Tobias parried Christopher Nkunku's shot, but a minute later a new wave of London attacks came through, and the Sancho-Madueke duo played again with the defence completely inactive.
In the main phase of the Conference League, Enzo Maresca's team has already won its ninth victory in a row. Let us recall that the Blues knocked out all their opponents in the general stage, after which they twice defeated Copenhagen in the 1/8 finals (2:1, 1:0).
The return leg will be played in London a week later, on April 17. Before that, Chelsea host Ipswich in the Premier League on Sunday.
