WBO ready to give permission The WBO has officially announced that it has received a request to hold a fight for the title of absolute heavyweight champion between Alexander Usyk and Daniel Dubois. The fight could be hampered by Joseph Parker, who is the WBO's mandatory challenger, but the organization is willing to postpone the mandatory defense so that Usyk can fight Dubois. The WBA, WBC and IBF are all in line to book fights after the WBO, so the organization's decision to delay Parker's defense will be the final hurdle. “We have received a request to hold the Usyk-Dubois fight. We will announce our decision soon, including updating the status of Parker, who is the mandatory challenger for the WBO title,” said WBO President Gustavo Olivieri. Usyk, who holds three titles, has already defeated Dubois by knockout.
