WBC cruiserweight champion Badou Jack (28-3-3, 17 KOs) said he wants to fight for the unification of the belts in the division, and is counting on fights with Gilberto “Zurdo” Ramirez (47-1, 30 KOs) and Jay Opetaia (27-0, 21 KOs).
“They're both southpaws, they're both good fighters, so I'd love to fight them. I'm not saying they're bad fighters, but they don't have the big stage experience that I have. Unification fights, big fights, that's what I'm here for.”
“It would be awesome if they fought each other first. I know Ramirez has more experience. But it's a 50-50 chance, maybe a little bit better for Opetaia. He's a little younger and fresher. It doesn't matter to me. Whoever they decide is the best, I want to fight him.”
Jack will defend his WBC belt against former champion Noel Mikaelian. The former titleholder will replace mandatory challenger Ryan Rozycki, who was injured in training earlier.

The fight will take place on the undercard of a big boxing event in Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia. The main event will be a fight between WBC, WBA and WBO super middleweight champion Saul “Canelo” Alvarez and IBF title holder, Cuban William Schull.
