The UEFA Champions League semi-final stage kicks off on Tuesday, April 29, 2025, featuring four clubs aiming to claim Europe’s most prestigious football trophy for the first time in years, reports the Baltimore Chronicle.

Arsenal will host Paris Saint-Germain at the Emirates Stadium. The London side already defeated the Parisians 2-0 in the group stage earlier this season. Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has called on fans to create an electric atmosphere, emphasizing the importance of their support in what he describes as the most significant match of his coaching career. The hosts will be without Thomas Partey due to suspension, while Jorginho remains sidelined through injury. However, Mikel Merino is expected to return after a minor knock, and Ben White is back in full training.

PSG, under Luis Enrique, have a full squad available. Despite a recent Ligue 1 defeat to Nice, Enrique believes his team has significantly improved since the last meeting with Arsenal. The coach stresses the club’s desire to make history by reaching the final again, following their 2020 defeat to Bayern Munich.

In the other semi-final, Barcelona face Inter at Camp Nou. The Catalan side recently secured victory over Real Madrid in the Copa del Rey final, boosting team confidence. Under Hansi Flick, Barcelona play an attacking style, with Raphinha and Robert Lewandowski in strong form.

Inter, in contrast, stand out for their defensive discipline, having conceded just two goals in the tournament. Under Simone Inzaghi, the Milan side plays with structure and control, relying on the experience of Hakan Çalhanoğlu and Lautaro Martínez. In the quarter-finals, Inter defeated Bayern Munich 2-1 on aggregate, showcasing their counterattacking effectiveness.

Both semi-finals promise intensity and unpredictability, as all four teams possess the ambition and potential to lift the trophy.
