On June 15, at the TQL Stadium in Cincinnati, the opening match of Group C in the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup took place between the Munich club Bayern Munich and New Zealand’s Auckland City. The match ended with a crushing 10-0 victory for the German team, reports Baltimore Chronicle.
This result set a new record in the history of the Club World Cup, surpassing the previous record set by Saudi Arabian club Al-Hilal in 2021, when they defeated UAE’s Al-Jazira 6-1.
Group C also includes Argentina’s Boca Juniors and Portugal’s Benfica alongside Bayern Munich and Auckland City.
Goals in this match were scored by Kingsley Coman (6th, 21st minutes), Sasa Boe (18th minute), Michael Olise (20th, 45+3 minutes), Thomas Müller (45th, 89th minutes), and Jamal Musiala (67th, 73rd from penalty, 84th minutes).
