On June 22, the last two quarterfinal matches of the UEFA European Under-21 Championship 2025 were played, officially determining the teams that will continue to compete for a place in the final, reports Baltimore Chronicle.
Denmark faced a tough loss to France in a tightly contested match that ended 2–3. In the second game of the day, Germany managed to defeat Italy, earning a spot in the semifinal stage.
Earlier, England and the Netherlands had already secured their places in the top four. As a result, the semifinal lineup includes England, the Netherlands, Germany, and France — the four strongest U-21 national teams in Europe.
The semifinal matches are scheduled for June 25. England will face the Netherlands, while Germany will meet France in the other semifinal.
