On June 23, the Rapid-Giulesti Stadium in Bucharest hosted the UEFA Under-19 Euro 2025 semi-final, where the Netherlands U-19 team claimed a 3–1 victory over the host nation Romania U-19 and advanced to the tournament’s final stage, reports the Baltimore Chronicle.

The Dutch side took early control of the match and built a comfortable lead before halftime. Konadu opened the scoring in the 36th minute, followed by Smith, who doubled the advantage in the 42nd minute. After the break, Sliti extended the lead further by netting a third goal in the 53rd minute. Romania managed to respond with a consolation goal from Barbu in the 68th minute.

As a result, Romania U-19 ended their journey at the semi-final stage of their home tournament, while the Netherlands U-19 team will now prepare to take on Spain in the final, scheduled for June 26 in Bucharest.
