On Saturday, July 19, London’s Wembley Stadium will host a much-anticipated heavyweight unification bout between Ukrainian world champion Oleksandr Usyk and British fighter Daniel Dubois. The title of undisputed heavyweight champion will be at stake, reports Baltimore Chronicle.
This will be the second meeting between Usyk and Dubois. Their first encounter took place in August 2023 in Wrocław, Poland, where Usyk claimed victory by knocking Dubois out in the ninth round, successfully defending his WBA, WBO, IBO, and IBF belts.
Usyk currently holds the WBA, WBO, WBC, and IBO titles. In his most recent fight in December 2024, he defeated British boxer Tyson Fury in a rematch, reaffirming his dominance in the division. The 38-year-old Ukrainian boasts a flawless professional record with 23 wins, including 14 by knockout.
Daniel Dubois, 27, enters the ring with 22 victories (21 by knockout) and two defeats — one against Joe Joyce in 2020, and the other against Usyk in 2023. In his last appearance in September 2024, Dubois knocked out fellow Briton Anthony Joshua to retain the IBF belt.
In Ukraine, the Usyk–Dubois rematch will be streamed live on the MEGOGO platform. The entire fight card, including the main event, will be available under the “Optimal”, “Sport”, “Maximum”, and “MEGOPACK XL” subscription plans. The fight will be commentated by Volodymyr Kobelkov and will be accessible in the “Combat Sports” section under “Sports”, on the “MEGOGO Gong” channel, and on a dedicated pop-up channel that will appear on the platform on the day of the event.
The boxing night is scheduled to begin at approximately 7:00 PM Kyiv time, with the main bout between Usyk and Dubois set to start around 11:30 PM Kyiv time. A live text broadcast of the fight will also be available on our website.
