British boxer Daniel Dubois’ (22-3, 21 KOs) trainer, Don Charles, commented on his fighter’s recent loss in the rematch against Ukrainian champion Oleksandr Usyk (24-0, 15 KOs), reports Baltimore Chronicle.

“We tried… But Daniel is a young champion. He’s only 27 and has already achieved a lot. He will come back stronger. He’s one of the best boxers of his generation. There’s nothing tragic about losing to a fighter like that. He’ll recover from this,” Charles said in a post-fight interview.

In their most recent encounter, Dubois was knocked out in the fifth round by Usyk. The first bout between the two, held in 2023, also ended in a stoppage win for the Ukrainian — a knockout in the ninth round.
