Also, former world number one Victoria Azarenka will not perform at the Games in Paris.

The second racket of the world, Belarusian Aryna Sabalenka, was banned from playing at the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris.

As reported by Tennis Up to Date, Sabalenka was excluded from the list of participants in the upcoming Olympics due to for her connections with the self-proclaimed President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko.

At press conferences, Arina refused to answer the question about the letter she signed in 2020 in support of Lukashenko, and also did not comment on their relationship and did not condemn the war in Ukraine .

Also, former world number one from Belarus Victoria Azarenka will not play at the 2024 Olympics tennis tournament. The reasons for her absence are not reported.

It is noted that only a few tennis players from the aggressor countries will be able to perform in Paris, including Russians Daniil Medvedev, Andrey Rublev and Daria Kasatkina. They will play at the Olympics under a neutral flag.

We recall that earlier the International Tennis Federation (ITF) allowed Russians and Belarusians to participate in the 2024 Olympics and Paralympics in Paris in a neutral status.

Only those tennis players from aggressor countries who meet the conditions of neutrality determined by the International Olympic and Paralympic Committees will be allowed to compete at the Olympics and Paralympics.

The Summer Olympic Games in Paris will be held from 26 July to August 11, 2024. The Paralympic Games in the French capital will continue from August 28 to September 8, 2024.
