“Reserve+” Allows Educators to Apply for Deferment from Mobilization

The updated "Reserve+" app allows educators to apply for a deferment from mobilization. To do so, a request must be submitted through the app and several conditions must be met.

The updated “Reserve+” app allows educators working in higher education institutions, vocational education, and scientific organizations to apply for a deferment from mobilization. This option became available after the latest app update, as reported by Baltimore Chronicle, citing the Ministry of Defense and the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine.

To use the deferment function, educators must be listed in the Unified State Electronic Database on Education (USEDE) and meet several requirements: having a main place of work, a salary rate of at least 0.75, and being part of the staff involved in the educational process in higher, vocational, or professional education or holding an administrative position related to teaching duties. To submit a request, users must go to the main screen of “Reserve+” and select “Submit Deferment Request,” then choose the appropriate category. Those who submit their request will receive a notification about the outcome.

If the deferment is not granted, even though the educator’s position meets the requirements, they should contact the institution’s head and check the information in the USEDE. Dmitry Zavhorodny, Deputy Minister of Education and Science of Ukraine for Digital Development, Transformation, and Digitization, stated, “Educators should be able to focus on their work — shaping knowledge and the future, rather than spending time on long procedures.”

Earlier we wrote that Reserve+ will introduce the option to pay fines for failing to appear for a summons.
